To create longer drives, great golf swingspeed and longevity in the game it is essential to focus on golf fitness training. Although Strength training can bulk up your muscles and cause limited movement in your swing but this is where flexibility comes in.

I am going to get very specific in the most important area to focus on while training is the importance of having a strong core. I’m talking about your back, abdominals, and oblique’s. These muscles stabilise your whole body posture. Usually people tend to focus on bulking up their guns and think they have the power. But never focus on abs and back muscles which is potentially dangerous because you can have a huge muscle imbalance causing serious injury.

Let me share with you some advice and strategies to help you create a strong, flexible, and toned body core to help you power out your swing and have your fellow golfer’s jaw dropping at your distance.

It is important to be aware of current diet, is it serving you and complimenting your training? If not, change it straight away, you will never get gains eating fastfood.

For Golf Training focus on eating on a regular basis fresh lean meats with no fat on them, fish and chicken and also eggs and peanuts. Muscle repair is really important after golf weight training so consume the right specific foods to maximise results. Important to note aswel is to keep hydrated so fluid intake is a must.

Now I highly recommend the use of a swiss ball.If you feel as though you are unsure of how to use a swiss ball please seek an expert or personal trainer for advice. I highly recommend a Swiss ball than other ab workouts. Because not only will you work on your core, most of these exercises tend to use all muscle groups which will bring you extra benefits as well as flexibility, which is very important for your swing because your core is the engine room and needs to rotate during the golf swing.
